Multiplex Technology
Multiplexing is the process of simultaneously detecting or identifying multiple biomarkers in a single diagnostic test, which can be valuable for several different types of diseases.
INFYNITY BIOMARKERS has combined its expertise in Multiplex technology and epitope mapping by developing serological immunoassays for several infectious diseases such as:
- SARS-CoV-2 (Covid)
- Chagas
- HTLV-I and II
- HIV-1 & HIV-1 Group O and HIV-2
- Syphilis
- Onchocerciasis.
Multiplex Assay Design
Multiplex technology is based on a 96-well microplate. Each well contains a range of biomarkers. The illustration (left) represents multiple wells. Each well may contain:
- Up to 50 different Antigens printed in precise positions
- Each antigen can be printed in duplicates to give a robust information
- 4 Positive controls (PC) for spatial orientation and technical validation of the assay
Applications
- Screening platform to identify and compare different types of biomarkers (proteins e.g. infectious diseases, allergens, antibodies, polluants e.g. pesticides) and accelerate assay development
- Fine-tune the composition of a mix of antigens to achieve better specificity and sensitivity through the identification of the antigens causing the false-reactivity and their replacement in the mix
- Immunoprofiling (e.g., natural vs vaccine-induced, drug treatments, prognosis)
- Generating cytokine profiles
- Vaccine development
Target Markets
- In vitro Diagnostics:
- Infectiology
- Auto-Immunity
- Allergy
- Oncology
- Neurodegenerative Disease
- Immunotherapy monitoring
- Drug/Vaccine companion
- Chemical diagnostics:
- Toxicology
- Therapeutic:
- Immunotherapy monitoring
- Drug/Vaccine companion
Advantages of Multiplex
- Serological signature unique for each patient
- Up to 50 different antigens/antibodies in one shot, generating highly informative profile in a single well
- Cost, Time and Resource-efficient
- Comprehensive interpretation via a colorimetric microplate image reader & a specific multiplex software
- Wide dynamic range
- Test results under the same experimental conditions
Our Kits
The MultiCruzi test is a high resolution in-vitro diagnostic Multiplex ELISA assay (RUO) which permits the simultaneous detection and identification of anti-T. cruzi antibodies directed against 15 different T. cruzi antigen specificities.
Multi-HCV Kit
The Multi-HCV assay is a highly specific and sensitive multi-parametric ELISA assay (RUO) for the serological confirmation of HCV. Serological confirmation of HCV is based on the detection and identification of anti-HCV antibodies directed against 5 different HCV antigen specificities.
Multi-HTLV is a novel high-resolution Multiplex ELISA assay (RUO) for the confirmation and discrimination of Human T-cell Lymphotropic Virus type I (HTLV-I) and type II (HTLV-II) infections, by antibodies detection in human serum or plasma.
Multi-SARS-CoV-2 test is a high resolution in-vitro diagnostic Multiplex ELISA assay (RUO) which enables simultaneous detection of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies to a set of selective and validated antigens.
